THE WARDROOM
At The Wardroom, we create handcrafted, artisanal ship models with uncompromising accuracy and finish. Every piece is built entirely by hand - never from kits - using traditional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail.

Original builds from documented plans
We build models starting from a real project, not a pre-made box. Depending on availability, we source plans from reputable online collections or conduct research through historical archives to retrieve original drawings, references, and specifications. This approach ensures authenticity in proportions, structure, and details.

Bespoke commissions
We design and build custom ship models to your exact requirements—scale, materials, level of detail, and display preferences. Whether you have technical drawings, reference photos, or a concept in mind, we translate your specifications into a one-of-a-kind model made to order.

Restoration of vintage models
We restore and conserve historic and vintage ship models, respecting their character while returning them to display-worthy condition. Services may include structural repairs, replacement of missing elements, refinishing, rigging work, and careful aesthetic restoration.

Model rental for exhibitions and productions
We offer ship models for temporary display and rental—ideal for exhibitions, set design, visual merchandising, “landscaping” and scenography, and use in commercials or advertising campaigns. We can advise on selection, presentation, and handling requirements to ensure the model performs beautifully in its setting.

From research to build, restoration to exhibition use, The Wardroom is dedicated to authentic maritime craftsmanship - where every model is a fully artisanal work, made with precision, patience, and pride.
THE ARTIST

Nazzareno - or “Reno,” as his friends call him - is the craftsman and artist behind every ship model on this site.
A retired General who spent his entire professional life in the Italian Army, Reno brings the same discipline, precision, and attention to detail to his workshop as he did to his service.
Born in Ascoli Piceno, in Italy’s Marche region, he moved to Treviso at the start of his military career and has called it home ever since.
Gifted with his hands from an early age, Reno has always had a natural talent for practical, meticulous work. Over time, that talent evolved into a refined wood artistry, with a special focus on ship models - where patience, craftsmanship, and authenticity meet.
